Deputy Whitney Richtmyer Hospitalized after White Center Pedestrian Accident on 28 Avenue
White Center, Washington State (January 11, 2019) – A deputy was injured in a hit-and-run crash on Monday in White Center, according to the police report.
The collision took place at an unspecified time Monday, January 7, on Safeway near the 9600 blocks of 28 Avenue southwest.
According to the Washington State Patrol, the officer was responding to a robbery call when a driver intentionally hit the deputy as she was fleeing on Safeway.
The deputy, identified as Whitney Richtmyer, was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The suspect, Khalia Wimberly, turned herself in on Thursday.
