5 Injured in Discovery Bay Head-On Crash at Bixler and Marsh Creek
DISCOVERY BAY (March 14, 2019) – Several were hospitalized after an alleged DUI crash in the area of Bixler and Marsh Creek roads late Wednesday night, according to East Bay Times.
California Highway Patrol said a Chevy trailblazer SUV and an unspecified smart car collided head-on at the intersection of Bixler and Marsh Creek roads.
One of the vehicles involved came to a stop in a ditch while the other car sustained severe damage as a result of the crash. The accident took place on March 13 at approximately 11:50 p.m. near Highway 4.

Paramedics responded to the scene and attended to a total of five people who were hurt following the wreck. All five patients reported sustained injuries considered as minor.
One victim was airlifted to John Muir Medical Center in Walnut Creek, while the other four parties were taken by ground ambulances to various hospitals for treatment. Their names and condition at this time were not disclosed.
Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that one driver was believed to have been under the influence of alcohol or drugs when the incident occurred. The suspect was later arrested on suspicion of DUI.
