1 Killed, 1 Injured in La Habra Car Accident at Lambert and Idaho
LA HABRA (February 10, 2019) – One was killed after an alleged DUI crash in the area of Lambert Road and Idaho Street Sunday evening, according to The Orange County Register and KTLA.
Police said a vehicle was going east on West Lambert Road when it collided with another vehicle which was headed north on South Idaho Street at the time.
One of the cars involved apparently ran through a red light, and struck the other vehicle at the intersection. The accident took place at about 7:09 p.m.
Officers affirmed that a driver in their late 40s was pronounced dead at the scene. The name of the deceased has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin.
The other motorist was taken to the hospital with injuries considered as non-life-threatening. That person was believed to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol at the time of the wreck.
Meanwhile, four cars that were stopped at the intersection were damaged by flying debris. Five other parties were appeared to be hurt in the incident. The investigation is ongoing.
