At Least 1 Injured After Prison Bus VS Car Crash at 6th Avenue and A Street

SAN DIEGO (March 14, 2019) – At least one person was injured after a prison bus collided with another vehicle at the intersection of 6th Avenue and A Street Wednesday afternoon.

According to KTLA, a bus transporting prisoners was traveling in the area around 3 p.m. For reasons still under investigation, the bus crashed into a Tesla car in downtown San Diego.

Initial reports indicated one person in the prison bus suffered injuries as a result of the incident. The severity of trauma sustained by the victim remained unknown at this time.

Officials said 15 inmates were aboard the bus at the time of the collision.

No other injuries were immediately disclosed.

The precise circumstances that led to the crash are still being determined.
