Pilot and Passenger Badly Injured After Place Crash at Monterey Bay Academy Airport

WATSONVILLE (February 10, 2019) – Two people were severely injured following a plane crash at Monterey Bay Academy Airport Saturday morning, according to CBS News.

An officials from the Federal Aviation Administration said single-engine Bellanca Citabria crashed around 10:40
a.m. into a field at Monterey Bay Academy Airport. Authorities believe the pilot was attempting to land when the crash happened.

Medical records indicated both the female pilot and her male passenger were airlifted to the hospital with serious injuries. The names of both patients, and their conditions at this time have not been disclosed thus far.

The National Transportation and Safety Board is the agency handling the investigation.
