One Killed in Auburn Mobility Scooter Accident with UPS Truck at B Street NW and 30th Street NW
Auburn, Washington State (January 10, 2019) – A woman riding on a mobility scooter was struck and killed by a UPS truck Wednesday morning in Auburn, according to a local news release.
The deadly accident occurred at about 11:00 a.m. January 9, at the intersection of B Street NW and 30th Street NW.
Police said the woman was riding her mobility scooter when the UPS truck struck her at the intersection. The impact ejected the woman from her chair and was run over by the truck.
The woman was declared dead at the scene. Her name was not immediately disclosed.
Authorities are investigating the cause of the crash.
